Since then, regional manufacturing and distribution operations have been established to provide a full line of quality rolling door products to an expanding dealer network. Not forgetting it's humble beginings R&S is dedicated to being "the manufacturers with the personal touch".

Special Accessories
Powder Coating Finish

Powder coating is a durable and decorative finish for steel or aluminum surfaces. It provides longer life and requires less maintenance than a standard finish. Powder coating is available in a variety of colors for use on many products. Consult factory for color selection, applications and limitations.

Tubular Motor Operator
Tubular motor operators, completely contained within the barrel, can be provided for counter doors (to 84 sq. ft.) and grilles (to 200 sq. ft.) in limited usage applications. Only the manual crank override is visible outside the bracket. The units are available in 115 volt/single phase with constant contact one button or keyswitch control. They can also be provided with a low voltage controller when options such as a reversing edge or timer are required.

Safety Bearing
This unique safety device functions as both a bearing and inertia brake for motorized service doors and grilles. The safety bearing is designed to prevent the curtain from free-falling if there is damage to or failure of the motor operator, drive chain or spring assembly. If a malfunction occurs and the downward speed increases to an unsafe rate, the inertia brake absorbs the added energy and safely stops the load.

VIBRATECH ®
Viscous speed governor available on R & S Manufacturing, Inc. firedoors for new construction and retro-fit. Viscous speed governor is a patented device allowing for a smooth and quiet descent of firedoors, replaces standard ductile iron governor, and recommended on larger certificate size firedoors, either manual or motorized operation. Viscous speed governor is U.L. listed and conforms to ASTM E152, CAN4-S104, NFPA 252, and UL 10B. Simple, maintenance-free design and construction, with a one year warranty.

An alternative to the traditional rolling grille is provided by folding aluminum panels, either open or glazed, suspended form an overhead track. This design is ideal for very wide or irregular openings requiring curved tracks. They are available as single slide or bi-parting units in a variety of finishes.

Wood Counter Doors
The natural beauty and richness of real wood are combined with the compact design and typical features of a metal counter door. The standard wood for slats, footpiece, guides and hood is red oak. Birch, whit oak, mahogany, pine, fir and other select hardwoods are also available.

Insulated Security Shutters
Compact shutters with PVC or extruded aluminum foam filled slats provide environmental protection for a wide range of applications. They are available in a choice of mounting configurations, methods of operation and color options.
